Possible to replace G6AT with 6G72 in Galloper '99?

As the title says, is it possible to replace my G6AT with a 6G72 in my Galloper '99 without modification?
Reason for this is that I have noises when I rev it and the oil pressure light was flickering at one point.
I will of course investigate it but anyway it seems hard to find a G6AT here in Sweden since the Galloper isn't that common.

Typo?: G6AT?

Since the 6GAT is a variant of the 6G72 I do not see why you couldn't do such... physically similar... emission concerns, computer [ecm] concerns are another topic...

Actually, the name of the engine is G6AT when produced by Hyundai.
And when I ask "without modification" I of course mean with ECM from the 6G72 but overall plug & play.

The reasons for not rebuilding is that I will probably need to sell it rather soon because I have probably found a HJ60 and I already have three cars taking up space.
And don't have any workshop where I live which means that I do mechanics outside in all seasons and have only a small building (15 m2) storing my tools.

It only has about 197000 km and it's in unusual good condition in both chassis, body and interior. Unfortunately no known service history.

G6AT, you are correct...

I suspect the fitment will not be a problem... very little was likely changed when Mitsubishi sold the Gen1 Montero to Hyundai.
