Airing down with a 10 ply tire. What PSI?

Do the chalk test. I just threw a set of 285/75R16 Duratrac tires (load range E) on my Colorado. The truck is roughly 2350 kg without my camping gear, and due to the narrower wheel width (16x7) I wanted them to wear somewhat evenly. So I tossed some chalk on the tires and checked out the wear pattern fron 36 psi down. 30 psi gave me 95% coverage. I could air down some more, but I like to keep the tires around 30 psi minimum for highway travel/temps. I don't want to risk a blow out by going less than 30 psi.

The other check for pressure on the street is temperature. With wide tires on narrow wheels, going down until you get a good chalk test might lead to insufficient pressure and hot-running tires.
