Propane Shower

I have a Cabela's shower/privacy tent that we use for a toilet and I am looking into getting a portable shower to use in in. What do you guys use and recommend?

I recently picked up the Kariba unit from Equipt and it's awesome. I previously used the Zodi Extreme and it was a nice option as well.

I have the BaseCampCamping 's XCW20 shower system.
I've spent a good year researching a shower system that would work best for my needs. The problems I encountered varied. - Electric heating takes way too much energy
- The heat exchanger method requires you to have your car running, and you are then tied to your car, not to mention its a pain to regulate heat
- The solar shower and shower bag method dont work well late at night, can't double as a kitchen style faucet, and won't work well in truly cold temperatures.
This sytem is entirely self contained, I just attach the propane, and drop the pump into my desired water source.
Then, Select shower head or water faucet, set my temperature, and press pump.
Instantly flowing hot water for stinky people and dirty dishes.
Couldn't reccomend this enough, my girlfriend is going to like it too! no more dirt in the Roof Top Tent....

THey have the smaller #13 unit too, so that may be a good place to start to see if you like it.

I have two showers.
Did not use this one this year, but may next year.
You can do the dishes with it too.

The next one I got for this year, but you have to heat your own water, no biggy to me.
I use my Gola Zero Yeti Lithium 400 to power it.
I like the Kahuna one, takes up less space.

How long does it take to heat the water up from, say, about 50 degrees?

The best portable shower may depend on what you've already got. Always handy to have a solar shower bag, since they're cheap and work well. For when there isn't a place to hand it, I use an inexpensive battery powered pump and either a bucket filled with warm water, or one of my water jugs. Sometimes I use my Sceptre type jugs with an air pressure driven system (you can easily make one for a few bucks). I warm the water with a stove when necessary. Pumps are less than $20 at vendors like Amazon. I had a Zodi and sold it. The dedicated showers took up too much room, were too expensive, and were only usable for showers or maybe dishes, and I prefer more simple multipurpose equipment.

Nearly two years with my eccotemp temp L5 and I have zero complaints... Okay one the mounting location I have it in tends to get blown out in strong winds. But I'll it fix that one day.

I use the Zodi. Works well, packs nice and small and is not expensive compared to some of the others.

This is the route I'm headed. While I don't have one, I've used other people's and it seems to work very well without having to re-circulate water to get it hot enough. Going to add a water tank to my Expo trailer first but then it will be the next upgrade.

I've beem looking into the Zodi Hot Tap, since it has its own pump and it's not as expensive as the Mr Heater showers. Can the water be shut on and off during the shower to soap up and conserve water or is it constantly on until you shut the pump off?

You can't turn the flow on and off as the heater would boil the water. The water needs to always be flowing when the burner is lit. What I do is put the shower head into the bucket and let it recirculate.

Simple Shower - it don't get more simple (says the inventor) :)

I just returned from a 10-day offroading trip. Except for one day, the only available shower was my Simple Shower. Easy, quick, effective.

How to use:

1. Fill with warm water;

2. Strip down to your skivvies;

3. Wash down as far as Possible;

4. Wash up as far as Possible;

5. When no one is looking, wash Possible.

6. Rinse.
