2018 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium – fully built out for off-roading and overlanding
I am the original owner of this 4Runner. Clean title. No accidents, flooding, etc. I bought it new and fully equipped it for overlanding and camping. While I’ve used it a few times for its intended off-roading, it had to unexpectedly serve as a daily driver for a family member for a while so most of its miles are on-road and it has very little trail wear and tear.
The vehicle has been meticulously maintained with all major service provided by Toyota and The Truck Shop in San Diego. I recently had all fluids flushed and replaced, new brake pads (at 79,413 miles) and had the King Coilovers rebuilt. They need rebuilding every 60,000 miles and I had it done and had the pressure and coils confirmed and adjusted just before listing the vehicle. I also replaced the auxiliary battery with a new high-performance Optima battery. 83,408 miles. I still drive it occasionally so the mileage is increasing but it's not currently an every day driver.
This 4Runner has been 100% reliable with zero history of mechanical failures.

After-Market Upgrades:
Extremely well maintained and in outstanding condition. Maintenance has been provided at (and often better than) the Toyota-recommended intervals. In addition, I’ve had the undercarriage and engine compartment regularly cleaned and the vehicle has routinely been garaged. I built this out as an overlanding rig primarily for off-grid camping. In terms of off-road use, it’s been light duty (truck trails and washes, not rock crawls). For the past few years, it had to serve as a light-use daily driver so, as a result, it has virtually no off-road wear and tear and is in remarkably good condition for its age/mileage. Paint is clean other than some minor nicks in the rear (see pictures). Rock sliders, skid plates, frame and body are all clean. Interior is flawless.
The one issue I know about is with the sPod. The seal on the Baja Design trail lights failed last year and it collected dew inside the lights. This killed the light bar so I had it replaced with a new light bar but it also burned out the first two contacts on the sPod. Since I don't use all of the available sPod outputs, I just rewired it to an open channel but, if I were keeping this truck, I would replace the sPod for full functionality. All of the sPOD outputs that are currently in use work flawlessly so, unless you want to add more electrical features, replacing it might be overkill.
Kelley Blue Book on this 4Runner with no upgrades is 31k. It's built out with over 23k in aftermarket upgrades. If I depreciate the aftermarket upgrades at the same rate as the truck, it would put the price at 43,000-44,000. I'm offering it at $39,750 in San Diego. Willing to work with you to take a day trip for delivery.

- Southern Style Off Road Full-Size Roof Rack (with full set of cross bars – those currently in use plus spares to fill all available slots)

- Baja Designs Squadron Amber fog lights
- Fully Automated Dual-Battery Setup:
- Upgraded primary battery Odyssey Extreme with massive cranking power and 68 amp hours total capacity.
- National Luna Dual-Battery Management System. This is a smart manager that uses a controllable solenoid to isolate the crank battery from the auxiliary battery. The add-on electronics will run off the alternator when the vehicle is running but will only drain the auxiliary battery when the vehicle is off. Even if you leave the trail lights on or run a power refrigerator all night and kill the second battery, you’ll wake to a fully charged main battery. The system automatically recharges the crank battery first after starting the vehicle and then connects the two batteries to start charging the auxiliary. Includes battery condition monitor in cab with override button to activate both batteries during time-out period (ie, for winching).
- Auxiliary battery is a highly-rate Optima Red Top AGM battery.
- sPOD 8-Circuit Electronics Control System with Touchscreen. Provides touchscreen control for trail light bar, side-facing roof rack lights, winch power*, and additional outlets installed in the vehicle.
*Note: winch power does not directly flow through the sPOD but does flow through a solenoid, which in turn is controlled by a low-voltage circuit that runs through the sPOD. This allows you to use the sPOD to keep power killed to the winch and only activate it when needed. The solenoid rests in off position. - 1000 watt DC-to-AC inverter with dedicated circuit to auxiliary battery, and multiple AC and DC outlets around the vehicle
- OEM Audio+ Reference 500 Audio Upgrade System with Subwoofer. This is a full replacement of all speakers, addition of a subwoofer and a custom-tuned amplifier, all custom tuned to the acoustics of the 4Runner
- Redarc Tow Pro Elite (V2) Electric Trailer Brake Controller
- Rago Fabrication Molle Panels inside both left and right rear cargo windows
- Bushwacker fender flares
