Accessory lenses for iPhone

The iPhone's built-in camera has a pretty wide standard lens, roughly the equivalent field of view of a 28mm full frame DSLR lens. Apple recognizes this is a limitation, so they added a second camera and lens to the iPhone 6, 7 and 8 Plus models. The second lens is a 2x zoom, or 56mm in DSLR speak. The second lens eliminates the need for digital zoom in many situations.

Third parties also saw the potential for selling accessory lenses to photographers who wanted a greater choice in lenses. Wide angle, telephoto and macro lenses are available.

The higher quality accessory lenses can cost $100 or more, and add to the stuff in your pockets. So you might want to carry a "real" camera instead. But the iPhone camera is very good, and adding an accessory lens makes it more useful in a range of situations.

So let's use this thread to talk about accessory lenses for iPhone.
