I think that will depend what sort of work you are looking for on the truck? Many workshop specialize only in some sort of mechanical work, not all.

Its got what looks to be some weeping seals on the front axle. I also want to get a good service done and get the ac looked at.

Gotta love having a 3d printer! plastic retaining thingybob wasnt holding the window in place on the window mechanism. 5 minutes in cad and 25 minutes on the printer and its sorted. I love technology(for the most part)

Some of the spotlights turned up today. Still waiting on two more of the round ones to show up as they were on back order.

Hi John, Thanks. I really enjoy doing that type of thing. I used to be a civil designer so know my way around cad but that was about 7 years ago. since then ive been doing maintenance supervision and most recently im working as a risk management specialist. Im working towards making some money from cad and light one off fab work as i intend to get a small cnc mill in the future but only as a part time gig as i enjoy it.

yeah its all pretty exciting. Ive got a few sample bundles of filament to try printing in a carbon reinforced nylon which should be super strong. Ive also got some filament with wood particles in for some chess pieces im planning to make so should come up nice and you can use wood stain on them. So many different types of material that you can print with! i think there is even a conductive filament that you can print circuits with.
