Water Tank Level App - Sensor?

Anyone know of a water tank level smartphone app/sensor combo?

Looking for something like a Bluetooth enabled sensor that can monitor the water level in my trailers tank via a smartphone app so I know when I'm getting low.

I've seen the excellent Mopeka senors that monitors your propane tank via bluetooth. I was hoping there was something like that for my water tank.

I'd call up some RV parts suppliers and see what they say. I know some higher end 5th wheels have just what you are describing so I'm sure they all sell spare parts.

This is an interesting question, I'm curious about the answer myself. For a long time, I've been using a simple sight glass to determine the level of the water. It follows the KISS rule and pretty effective.

Kimberley Karavans and Kruisers have electronic level indicators in their water tanks. However, they are quite unreliable. Many Kimberley owners have installed flow meters in their place for much greater accuracy.

After trying to understand how a flow meter would monitor your water level, I came across this:

Sounds like just what most curious folks would need. One other thing you might consider, some phone apps rely on a network connection to work reliably. And it seems that when you need them the most, you're out of service.:ugh:

No drilling into your tanks for sending unit and more accurate than 1/4, 1/2, etc. Sounds like a good option to me.

I believe that's the same unit Patriot Campers uses.
