    Great write up and pictures. I've never been down that way in the fall and I have to say that I am extremely jealous. The pics of the cottonwoods alone ... once again, great write up.

    Thanks! Love that area in the fall and have made it an annual trip. Besides the color and lack of crowds, the meat eating gnats are gone.

    Awesome report. Looks like the golden likes the SUP!

    We're planning a mtb trip to Capitol Reef next year. Any pointers on where to find good sites? We'll probably camp 2-3 nights, ride, move sites, ride again....

    I really have not done much exploring of Capitol Reef except on the north and south fringes. Generally National Parks donít allow MTBs on the trails, though you could ride lots of dirt roads. Grand Staircase would be better because you can camp almost anywhere but no MTB specific trails that I know of.
