French family through America

Hello to all,
We are a family from France (nomad family.org) traveling through the Americas since June 2017. We are traveling with our three children on a 1998 Land Rover Defender 300tdi.
We are anticipating a two-year trip ending in South America. The children are growing and we will be feeling the effects of lack of space very shortly. Instead of shipping a vehicle to Colombia from the Panama Canal (shipping is very pricey) we are thinking about going back to the US and sell our Land Rover there. We spent two and a half month in the USA and crossed path with lots of Travelers who loved our Land Rover.
Should any of you have knowledge of the laws and paperwork and requirement for the resale of a French vehicle in the US? Would you know of any site or website that would work well for such advertising and would give us quotes.

Unfortunately you will have to wait 6 years before your vehicle is old enough to permanently import into America. You can import into Canada legally now as it is more than 15 years old.

Nick's right. No possible way until it's 25 years old. Not in the US anyway.. Sorry. There are tons of Americans who would love to have it and pay a premium.
