So I've had my frontier a while now. And have started to fabricate up some bumpers. And decided to start the build thread here.
So far I have :
Bilstein 2" lift
265/75/16 Cooper Discoverer STT PRO on stock wheels
SMOD mod and axle breather mod.
Now for the fun stuff.
I will be using 1/8" because well, I have it and it was free. It should work just fine for what I want and I'm more than likely not going to be beating it off of huge rocks if I can help it.
Basically I want it to hold a winch and have some good attachment points for straps.
I started by getting some rough measurements and making a few cuts to get an idea what I'm looking at.
After that I scored a line with the grinder where I wanted the bends to be made and improvised since I don't have a sheet metal break.
Then I spot welded it together to do a mock up.
After I remove the factory bumper it will sit a little closer to the truck and after I get all the mounts made I'll make the wings that extend back to the wheel openings.
