So the build is underway for sure. There is always a list of things i need to do, and the want to do list.
Things done:
New head unit. Works with steering wheel controls.
Tinted front 2 side windows.
All new fluids front to back. Amsoil synthetic.
New deep well transpan. (This I did because the groves in the standard pan traps debris)
New steering shaft and bearing.
New lift 4" rancho.
New bilstien 5100 shocks and steering stabilizer
New wheels 18" level 8 - wanted to get something bigger than stock that looked stockish
New tires - nitto MT 35 x 11.50
Ranch hand brush guard was on it when i bought it. I'm not usually a fan of brush guards. I call them " damage multipliers. " The ranch hand is by far the stoutest one i have come across so we shall see.
KC 4" LED spots in factory fog light holes.
Some decent looking imop side steps from deezee
Phase 2 mods:
Rear LED lighting
Some tie downs in bed
A softopper or bestop bed cover
A sleeping platform that sets up and breaks down pretty efficiently
Possibly a bed rack
Correct pump rub situation in tcase
Phase 3 mods:
An offroad camper to sleep in
Go fast parts and programmer
The goal of the truck is to haul the family around to some outdoor adventures comfortably to and from. Once there tool around and explore. Not a lot of extreme offroading . Mostly service roads and powerline level. The ultimate goal is to head out west next year to experience some of the national parks west of the mississippi river.
