Sweet!, just booked my one-way plane ticket to Palm Springs, CA. It's a 100% California car, a couple of owners, but lots of maintenance records and periodic intervals reported by all owners at either Mitsubishi or Valvoline. Timing belt service was done at 174k or so and it has 189k on it now, so this should be a solid enough foundation to build. They've agreed to take it to get it's oil changed, fluids topped off, tires rotated, and he said he would change the diff fluids as well before meeting me at the airport next Saturday.
Anything I should look for when I inspect it, apart from the obvious? I was told to make sure the CEL, ABS, and other lights run their cycle upon start-up and when I ask the owner she sent me a video of the start-up display cycle and everything was nominal.
