Looking for a heater core.

So, an ongoing annoyance with my 97 Montero is that it has tiny little pinhole leak in the heater core. Just enough that I can smell a bit of antifreeze when I have the heater running, but not enough to seriously impact my coolant usage. So I've been searching for a heater core since last winter, without much success. My local Mitsu dealership can get one, for nearly $400.00 which is absolutely ridiculous.

Would the heater core from a Montero Sport with a 3.5L work?

Given the work involved in replacing it, if you intend to keep the vehicle alive for a while, spend the money.
