Maggiolina replacement flyscreen

Hi guys i am new here.Thanks for the add its a great site.
After trying out our secondhand Maggiolina on the weekend i put my finger through the bottom of the screen mesh. Its annoying but the rest of the tent is like new so no real problem. I guess it may have been sprayed by the previous owners with mosi spray and have weakened it.
Has anyone replaced the screen on theirs?

Shouldn't be a big deal. Replacement screens are available from the factory. Sometimes folks will make special screens for conditions the plan to encounter, notably no-see-um lands. The factory mesh is a medium screen so the little vampires can wiggle through. They can't fly through but land on the screen and work their way through so repellant is sprayed on the screen to prevent that. Deet, the active ingredient in most repellants is very tough on fabrics and gets on your hands when you touch the screen. We use an Avon product called 'skin so soft" which they don't seem to like and isn't toxic to us.

Check in with your AutoHome guys in OZ or call the factory in Italy direct. They have seen this before and can send you the stuff to do a quick repair.

Along a different school of thought - rather than replacing - how about patching. Most well stocked hardware stores sell adhesive screen patches, fairly cheap. Depending on the size of the hole, it might be feasible, at least temporarily.

I have a 2008 Maggiolina AirLander tent, and several years ago I had put the left side window awaywrong somehow, and put a 1.5” rip in the mosquito netting.
I got a hold of Mike at Autohome, and he sent me out a new window for that side.

Turns out my tent you can not replace the canvas or mosquito netting’s, it is all sewn in from what I could see.
I ended up buying some clear tent netting repair patch kit via Amazon, and that did the trick.
If there is actually a way to replace these panels, I sure would like to know how to do it.

Ours seems the same all stitched in.
Looks a big job to take it out.
