You guys are a bunch of ************* *******s. Let the man advertise his FJ without the BS posts.

Please...

For a member to join, JUST to sell his rig, without ANY contribution to the forum?
Or how about not even read and follow the VERY basic forum rules with regards to posting for sale by Expo member?

Thread should be flagged. It doesn't even follow basic forum rules.

But hey, at least he still isnt asking $96k for it....

lol

Who knows what the rig even looks like currently... Ive spotted at least a dozen adds for this FJ on the net so far, with the one I posted a link to dating 6/24/2016, and Im sure there are more...

If you really are open, I'd take that advice above. The tires and lift on this scream "cheap redneck build" or at the least, done by someone like a hot-rod shop who knows nothing about foreign-built 4x4 buyers, and it makes the truck unstable and just looks out of place. I'd be worried about this leaning more than 30 degrees in trail conditions. I'm also wondering about the tranny cross-member; it looks odd, to me anyway.

And at that price, you aren't including the winch? Why? It's worth maybe $500 used so leave it on there or buy another to sell it with. You are in the serious-toy price range where guys are usually looking at either factory-like resto jobs, real exotics (which this isn't) or serious expo rigs, which I think the FJ40 is too small for. ICON seems to make a living with even higher priced rigs but they have marketing behind them, and mostly factory looking rigs.

Good luck with it though, seriously... just shrink it a little. ;)

Thanks for the note VinceAtReal4x4's.

The winch found a new home on someone else's ride. If it was a sticking point I'd purchase a new warn and throw it on.

As for the lowering — the 4BT is a very tall engine. How she sits is as low as we could get it with the 4BT installed and not run the risk of binding the front driveshaft into the oil pan. Only thing that could be done to get her lower is to run 33s or 35s, which again, if it was a sticking point I'd throw new tires on. She was made to be a mod rod, not a foreign blueprint exotic.

Thanks again for the note and I hope the new year is finding you well.

Thanks to everyone who was supportive. The FJ has gone to a new home and is no longer for sale. Hope everyone is well and getting after it.

Curious. Did it ever sell. I have a bone stock '80 sitting in my garage. Had it 25 years. Guess they are going for big dollars these days.

Hey umpqua, sorry for the delay in response, been on travel. Yes, she sold! That’s really cool you have a stock 80. Have a great rest of your week.
