Ford f550 vs Dodge 5500 for expedition vehicle

I just read about a great product for the Cummins/5500: Pacbrake exhaust brake. It works in conjunction with the VGT turbo and doubles braking hp. Mechanism is like a Jake brake but without the noise. My Unimog has a very similar 2 stage exhaust brake; original brake pads are still in place at 100K miles and it is a huge safety item on downhills.
Sorry for the OT comment, but another reason for Cummins over Powerstroke.

Observer
Ford's are more common from what I have seen of utility crews etc.

I have a 6.4 diesel ford F450. I have a large front area, (tall cabover section) but after a tune I get 10ish MPG's. Anywhere from 10-10.7 depending on speed and terrain.

I have 3 F550 and see 12-13 as a average mileage in a 3000 mile per month use. Guys can't idle them any more. Drive the highway 1/2 the time.
