Retrofitting a wildernest

Hey there,

Has anyone retrofitted a camper/topper (specifically a wildernest) from a 1st gen tacoma to a 3rd gen tacoma?

I know there is a link/information about 2nd gen toppers on 3rd gen but I was wondering about 1st to 3rd....any link or information would be helpful!

Thanks!

I sold mine to a guy who was putting it onto a 3rd gen. The two biggest differences that would have to be addressed is the angle of the rear window bottom metal / rubber gasket along with bed mounting. You can't really use bed clamps like in the 1st gens and will have to mount the the bed track system. The plastic trim on the bed rails will also make it a pain for water sealing. Might have to cut / alter them.

As a caveat, I had one of the original Alpine Lowe nests. There were some differences between these early models and the more mass produced wildernest you usually see for sale.
