Tongue strength on off-road trailer

:sombrero: As a side note Bluejeep, the TENTRAX doesn't have any structural welds in the tongue--it's an overlapping longitudinal "2" SHAFT, the length of the trailer !

yes, one of the many things I liked about the design. In your travels, have you had the need to repair any hub or wheel bearing issues? I think carrying a spare might be wise and will most likely give a call to george for his repair kit he sells.

Nope no brg failure and Dillon gave me a SPARE pkg 11 years ago when I bought the trailer--

JIMBO, any pics of your spare tire mount?

Sorry, no pics but I bought a 07/11 jeep spare tire mount from JC Whitney and using 1" bar stock, I mounted it on the glass/plywood *** end, but I made sure that a (Ball less) trailer hitch, would support the spare tire weight, so it wouldn't STRAIN the glass/wood trailer-

good luck

I've built two offroad trailers on a HF base. On both, I ran a 2X2 full length tube. Thousands of offroad miles later and both are still perfect (Tongue wise). 2X2X1/4 is plenty.
