ruin? definitely not I love these old trucks... I'll be keeping the patina it has I want to preserve that but I'll updating it with a modern drivetrain & suspension

does anyone have experience putting the M37 body on a 1994-2002 dodge 2500 frame? I am thinking that would be more cost efficient since I will have all the drivetrain in there

Solid looking rig there Stroked. It will be cool to see what you do. Did you buy a truck yet or are you still looking? I am wondering if you are going with a soft top or getting a hard top for the cab. Keep us posted. Cheers, chilli..:wings:

hey Chilli

Thanks man I am really excited about this project, I went to look at one yesterday that was soft top but it was rusted pretty bad. I specifically asked the seller if there was any rust and his response was "its is very clean thats why I bought it"..

I am still looking about soft topvs hard top, If I can stay dry in the softtop during a rain storm I wouldnt mind it

I agree that the pic you posted looks to close to "survivor" status, but I'm getting a feeling you haven't actually bought one yet?

I had a '94 12 valve 4x4 regular cab truck that I foolishly sold. It would have been awesome for a vintage body transplant. If you can get the body to fit on the Dodge chassis, that will be a good way to go. At least you will be able to find parts easily.

ohhh man yeah you shoulda kept the 94 those are great trucks

the one I posted looks in amazing condition the one I saw yesterday is a far cry from that lol,
90% of it is solid but the rest has rust, underneath the bed is completely rotted through it makes me wonder how much I cant see is rotted out

I found two threads on guys putting the M37 body on a 92 and 93 dodge 2500 (W250) chassis, so I am wondering if I can do it on a 94-97 dodge 2500 chassis ?
