1964 Mercedes-Benz Unimog 404 Expedition Camper - $32k

After many many years and many upgrades, I've decided to part ways with my 1964 Mercedes-Benz Unimog 404.1. She only has 37,900 miles.

Imported to CA in 2005, I've owned her since 2008 in Culver City, CA. Asking $32,000 obo. I'm also open to a trade but prefer cash.

Over the years, I've upgraded many mechanical components (electronic ignition, electric fuel pump, etc) and kept meticulous records (and have a lot of spare parts to boot). In 2009, I re-engineered and built the back ambulance box to be a camper with dinette/bed, stove, pantry, full speaker system, DVD/TV player, engel fridge/freezer all powered via a rooftop solar panel. The vehicle comes with 2x roof racks from Front Runner and a 24V winch from ComeUp. She also boasts a custom removable hard top cab roof with removable doors to keep the weather out when it rains. Tires are in excellent condition and will last many more adventures, too. Comes with two older but usable spare tires.

No onboard/internal water system other than a 5 gallon Nato can that affixes to the roof and a solar water pouch you can hang on the roof rack. I thought about installing one years ago, but never got around to it.

Heater unit in the front cab works great, but no temperature control in the camping box.

For solar - there's one 250-watt solar panel that powers dual 12-volt deep-cycle AGM batteries in parallel and that powers lights, TV, radio, and fridge/freezer.
