I am selling my 88. Its a 1966 IIA. It was originally a station wagon, so it has the two fold down seats in back and the station wagon badges but the safari roof was destroyed when a tree fell on it sometime in the past, so its just a standard roof now with a side opening rear door.
I found the truck in a field with the engine taken apart and have gotten it road worthy again. It has good tires on wolf wheels. A new stainless fuel tank, all new hard lines and flex hoses (stainless steel) for the brakes and the clutch. Rebuilt wheel cylinders new clutch master and brake master, rebuilt clutch slave cylinder. Has selectro FWH installed (the good ones). It has a fairey overdrive. The engine was taken apart when I found it. It is a chevy 153 four cylinder. I got it running but it had a bad main bearing, so I had it rebuilt. It has a new distributor and new water pump. The engine is 100% rebuilt with everything new including the crank. I spared no expense on the build because I thought I would keep it.

It is a good runner but its not done. It needs paint and upholstery. Needs window tracks and rewired. As it is, it can be driven fine. I have put about three thousand miles on it all over the bay area. It needs finishing touches on things like the exhaust, throttle linkage, and electrics. Great starting point for a first time series owner. Plenty of power, doesnt lag like most series trucks. Passes people up hill! Truly a remarkable power upgrade. It has some blukhead rust, but its minor enough that no patch panels would be needed. We are talking about dime and quarter sized hoes. There is also rust in the front frame horn just behind the bumper. It is very very small and a square plate would solve it. This is a california truck since new as far as I can tell, so its not a rust bucket.

Anyway, i want 4850. Call me with questions. Located in santa cruz, ca.
