I've been around here for a while and am an avid member of IH8MUD but am enjoying this forum as well. I haven't made many posts but do enjoy reading the builds section. If you have any specific questions about this truck please send me a private message. Please keep comments positive and please no high jacking of post.

The current vehicle I am offering on the market is a non-Military, civilian model produced in the UK and imported from Europe. It carries the distinct features of an original Series III 109. The 2.25 petrol 4 cylinder motor produces 74 hp and has an average fuel economy of 16 mpg with an average range of 308 miles. The transmission is a 4 speed gearbox with synchromesh on all forward gears. Tyres are 7.5 – 16. All the Series III imported from Europe were on a pre-sold status from new, which means there are many different styles of hardtops available with and without sliding rear windows, rear door spare tire rack or deleted tire rack. This particular model has an original Land Rover rear sliding window option that with the research I have done is very rare. Each side of the passenger and driver rear windows has two slide outs per side. This is very nice in the summer to move air throughout the cabin. To my knowledge the hardtop has not been taken off. The factory bolts look like they have not been tampered with and still has a good tight seal. The paint appears to be original with two silver dollar size chips in the front grill. These can easily be repaired but I wanted to keep the Rover is original condition.

Items that have been updated or replaced. The previous owner replaced the radiator with a 4 core aluminum radiator and updated to a new Weber Carburetor. I also replaced the Master Cylinder, Clutch line and fuel pump with new parts from Atlantic British. Also I have replaced all front and rear brake lines and drum pads for optimal stopping power. The oil has been changed every 1500 miles and the vehicle runs very well. The Series III gets driven on a regular basis in the summer and stored in doors in the winter. The clock shows 24700 miles and looks to be the original mileage. The interior is clean and free of rust. There is no cover up diamond plate on this vehicle to hide any problems. The front driver seat has a tear from previous owner sliding in and out of the vehicle. The front dash pad is in excellent condition with no cracks and shows that the previous owners have taken very good care of this vehicle. The front seat is a 3 way split seat with all seats folding forward and storage behind the seats. The original tire repair tools are located behind the seat.

I have customized the rear tire carrier slightly for ease of entering into the rear cabin. The rear door tire carrier made it difficult to access the door handle. I used some rubber gaskets and pipe nipples to push the rear tire out from the door 2 inches for easy access to the door handle. Also for improvement from squeaks from the rear tire. This can be easily taken back to stock if the new owner wishes. I have not been called out by any purist as of yet due to this minor modification. Also the rear tire is not stock and resides somewhere from a 107 series. It doesn't bother me so I left it. A new wheel can be purchased from Atlantic British for $130 is the new owner so desires.

There appears to be no sign of this vehicle ever being driven in the snow. The frame appears to be original and I can confirm with an inspection from a well known Land Rover builder here in the midwest. All factory welds are in place and there is absolutely no rust. This vehicle has been a joy to own. I have enjoyed sharing this with others and talking to people that have never seen one. This vehicle gets a lot of attention at car shows and just driving down the street. I've been fortunate enough to own some true classics and attention getters and this vehicle will capture the hearts and attention of many. I hope the new owner gets the same joy out of this vehicle as I have. Please send me any questions or comments that you may have.
