No Affiliation, just a cool truck.

Title is referring to the second one on the list, previously a municipal fire truck used to carry equipment, but there are plenty to chose from. If you haven't seen this outfit before, Swiss Army Vehicles, it's worth a look (as long as you have don't have self-control issues!). He is based out of my area, NW Arkansas, and I believe he has a partner in Europe. Met the guy who runs it 10 years ago or so.

I've always dreamed of attempting to put a JDM Subaru diesel in one of these, which can be purchased from here http://www.boxeer.com/. I am sure that would only require truckloads of money!

A Subaru swap into a Pinzgauer is near impossible - not enough width between the front wheel suspension... I suppose a mid-mount behind the driver would be possible but you'd give up all the space in the back...

The air-cooled flat-4 in there is that much narrower than a Subaru? I would not have guessed that. Well, thanks for crushing my dreams! :)

They're air-cooled alright, but inline, not flat. I imagine you'd have an easier time retrofitting watercooling and just about any modern longitudinal I-4

EDIT: I've also seen an older BMW I-6 Diesel in a Pinz...

I don't know where I got the idea that it was a boxer. Wishful thinking I guess! (I daily drive and love a Subaru).

Me too! If you're feeling the need to have a Subaru-powered Steyr-Puch design, just find a Syncro VW and do that swap. :D
