1975 Vespa Rally 200 kit-build it yourself

About two years ago I bought this 1975 Rally 200 in a lien sale, not running but complete and in good, rust free condition.
I disassembled it and had a custom beautiful green paint job put on it, complete with hand painted Rally stripes on the cowls and the correct "Electronic" badging etc. No, the color is not the original color but neither was the black housepaint and turquoise sponged on trianges. It's a beautiful professional paint job. I did delete the turn signals off the cowls (the painter did the body work) but I have them.
I have all the parts that came off it plus a Pinasco top end in the box, plus new rear shock and many new parts from Scooterworks. To do it right you should get a new wiring harness (or make one) I kept the old one. For someone with mechanical skills this is a pretty easy project. The motor is free, I only took it out to do the paint right.
The scooter has a clear California title in my name and is non-op'ed. You won't have any DMV issues to take care off.
If interested or any questions at all, please PM me, I can take extensive photos of anything, but I have it stored at a friends so I have limited photos here.
I paid $1000 for the scooter and $1400 for the paint. I spent another $500 plus on parts. I'm asking $2400 for everything. Located in Sacramento, CA. Selling because two years ago I didn't have a two year old, and now I do.

I would do part trade for stuff for my XJ: 30x9.5 BFG A/T tires, or an ARB bumper without bull bar (just the bumper)

Wrong side of the country for me (yes, I'm casually looking for a Vespa) but I'd love to see the pics of it! I wonder what it would cost to ship it across the country....

I'm getting pics this week; I'll post some up.
Too bad you can't do like Radar in M.A.S.H. and ship it home in pieces. That would still cost bank.

Man I miss my Vespa. I spent over a year tearing my 66 AllState apart and rebuilding it from the ground up. Swapped in a P200 motor that I built with way too many go-fast parts...sigh.
I hope whomever the sorry a$$ed sack of Crap is that stole it died in a horrible wreck!
Since I just shelled out all my dough on my CJ8 and Dodge Cummins I will have to pass...Boo!
I wanted to suggest that you do keep it in pieces and you CAN ship them easier that way! The frame is the only large, bulky part and it doesn't weigh that much! It is made using aircraft (all-be-it WWII technology) construction! Just wrap it all up careful and stick in on a grayhound bus! The motor, fenders, handle bars....etc, should all be able to be fedexed! Just my thoughts...Best of luck!
