Brad Wilkins (Overbuilt Customs) is building the WFTW Jeep. In addition to that, he's also rebuilding a 1976 FJ45, right hand drive. The owner bought it from Europe and had it shipped over. Anyhow, I thought you all would like to see these pictures.

Here's the body. He has it on a rotating thing to make it easier when he paints it. He has taken care of all the rust and is now working on the body...getting out all the dents.

This is the frame and roll cage. The cage is 100% custom and includes a rack, spare tire carrier, and has a bottom on which the seats mount to.

This thing is MASSIVE! Pictures do not do it justice. The cage will be taken off the frame, the seats will be removed, and then the cage and frame will be powder coated (sometime this week).

Goodness. Maybe it is just the picture, but from where the driver seat is to the front bumper looks so far.

When he mocked up everything (cage, bumpers, etc) he had the body on the frame, so I'm sure it's where it's supposed to be. This thing is MASSIVE! You can't really tell from the pix I took, but there are three rows of seats (two front bucket seats, two middle row bucket seats -children sized-, and a third row bench seat). I can hardly wait to see it finished!

Does he have the top for the troopy as well? Rotisserie's are cool no matter what anybody says.

The top will be a custom made soft top...sort of like a bikini top. The FJ will be garaged and only driven on the street and beach in south Florida (where the owner lives).

You'll notice the roof rack only covers the back, but there is a single bar running left to right on top towards the front...that is for surfboards and is removable.

Is the motor in the pics shown in its actual location?

Looks like a neat build, I'm excited to see some more pics as it progresses.

Yes, that's it's actual location. You can go to www.overbuiltcustoms.com and click on "Gallery." From there you can click on the 1977 FJ45 Troopy picture and see all the pictures (about 50 of them). This guy does amazing work...very detailed. :Wow1:
