16 Years on ExPo. Whoa!!
If you're realistic about the diesel swap (costs, time, difficulties etc) it would be a great candidate.. It will be painful though...
To some of us the slow aspect of the Land Rover is a plus-for me it forces me to slow down (literally) and enjoy what is around me. Life moves too fast sometimes.
Maryland 110, is it the same for a '64 109? Is it sacrilege to even contemplate repowering a 109 SW? It is by no means original, in fact it was drug out of a field mostly in parts. It is now on a rovers north built chasis with rebuilt engine.I have converted 2.25 petrols to 200 tdi in a day so its a very easy swap.
I took an 1984 V8 petrol 110 across the country. The truck actually made the trip TWICE!

Also, fly southwest as they do not surcharge for one way tickets.
