1984 Land Rover 90 w/ 200tdi!!

The truck has recently been resprayed in silver and the paint job is very high quality. Many body panels are taken from a newer truck including all 3 doors which as you can see in the pics are like brand new with ZERO rust. The truck has also received a 200tdi and returns 28mpg and will easily run 70+. Below is a breakdown of the vehicle, please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more pics.

Mechanical: 200tdi installed from a discovery mated to an LT77 5spd transmission and an LT230 transfer case. Engine starts at the first turn even in freezing temps and pulls like a train. No smoking or oil leak issues and is very sound. Transmission shifts smoothly and transfer case operates properly. Although I don't have documentation, the steering box must be a replacement because it has absolutely no play in it at all and the truck drives extremely straight and true. Brakes are disc front and drum rear and stop straight with no funny sounds or issues. Heat works properly and truck is equipped with an electric cooling fan.

Body: The body of this truck is in excellent condition overall. The front wings and hood are super straight and the bulkhead is extremely solid with no rot issues at all. As mentioned above, all three doors are sourced from a newer truck and they have absolutely zero rust anywhere. These doors alone are worth a ton of money! You will also notice in the pics that the door cards are in great shape and are lacking window cranks, truck is set up to have power windows and includes switches and wiring although they are not hooked up yet (not a big fan of electrical work...) The tub is also in great shape with no rust issues other than some in the bottom edge where it meets the rear crossmember. You will also notice in the pics that both sides of the tub have a little wave too them from some offroading fun, nothing bad but worth mentioning.

Chassis: I have taken several pics of the chassis which can be seen in the photobucket link below. The chassis has received some repairs over the years but all are done well and chassis is solid and sound. There is some surface rust as seen in pics on both the chassis and other undercarriage components but nothing uncommon or that needs immediate attention. You will notice fresh black paint on the rear crossmember. The previous owner had put diamond plate over it which did not look very good, when I removed it I discovered he had painted the truck without covering the crossmember up so it was mostly silver from overspray. I painted it black for cosmetic purposes and it is not in an attempt to cover up anything. The rear crossmember is solid.

Interior: As you can see from the pics, the seats are in good shape and have no tears or rips. The center seat in the front does not match but it is functional and in good condition. I have a set of brand new front waterproof seat covers for all three seats that will be included in sale. The floors are covered with rubber molded matting and its all in good shape. Dash is solid and free of any damage. Rear cargo area has diamond plated flooring and aside from some dirt and scratches its in good shape. No rear seats or headliner in the truck. Overall, the interior is complete and in good shape but could use some finishing to match the exterior condition of the truck. Inside panels are still blue (original color) and dash and other random bits could use a little scrubing.

Options Available: There are several accesories available for this truck, if interested please inquire about price. Extra's include rock sliders, seat covers (included), NAS 90 alloy wheels, wolf steel wheels with mud tires, new grill, new headlight surrounds, winch bumper, and other accesories.

I have tried to describe this truck thoroughly but if there is something I missed or you would like more pics or clarification, please feel free to ask! This is a solid truck with lots of great features and with a little more time could be even better. It runs amazing and I would not hesitate to jump in and drive it anywhere. It is legally imported and will come with all required paperwork to be titled and registered in your state. Can also assist in transportation at buyers cost.

I'm watching this truck on eBay! I wish it was a 5 door, cause I love the way this truck looks! Super sharp rig, just won't fit my whole fam for an expo rig.. Best of luck!

So by reading this I'm assuming it's not/never has been titled in the U.S.? Has it ever been registered in the U.S.?

It's a good looking truck.

Truck is located in Raleigh/Durham, NC. If I wasn't dumb I would've put that in the ad at the top:) As for the title and registration: I have not yet taken the trip to the dmv to register and title it but thats on my list of to-do's. In NC it takes a trip to two locations and about 3 hours so not a big ordeal...

D@mn , Chuck!

You've brought in some very nice vehicles, but this one is a real peach! I love it. Wish I could do it.

If anyone reading this ad is even considering putting a diesel conversion in a rig, buy thus one instead. You will save money and the work is done. This is one beautiful rig

Chuck, I could almost talk the Mrs into it if t were LHD

Thanks for the kind words! It is really a great truck and is a freaking steal for this price. I have had a few people mentioning the LHD. I personally like RHD better (more room) and out of the people that have bought trucks from me, none of them have converted them as they warmed up to driving on the other side. With that said, I am talking to a local rover nut and close friend about doing conversions for me so it may be something I offer in the future.
