1984 FJ60 OME Lift/ Southern California

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SOLD
I realized today while tinkering with my '85 FJ60 that my '84 hadn't been moved from it's spot in the barn since early November. I drive the '85 all the time and the '84 just sits and collects dust. So......reluctantly I think it's time to sell the '84.

Details:
1984 FJ60 127,xxx miles.
Drive train all stock original Toyota. Old Man Emu lift with 16 inch Toyota wheels. Old school Con Ferr roof rack and front brush guard. Registration is current through March, 2012. Last year I replaced the intake/ exhaust manifold with a brand new OE Toyota set-up, K&N air filter, new choke cable, new windshield, full window tint, new gas tank (Toyota recall).

Drives nice, 4x4 works great, has some drips from most of the common places, probably will need a radiator (or rod out) soon but we took it on a 700 mile trip last October with no problems. Today was the first time I had started it in over 2 months and it fired right up. Interior is complete, driver's seat has the regular worn spot, rear carpet doesn't match the front but is in good shape. Dash has a couple little scratches.

Tires are 30-40%, body and paint look good but up close you can see touch up paint and scratches. Body and frame are really solid but there has been some repair around the tailgate and rear hatch (before I ever owned it so I don't know the history), A/C compressor and lines had been removed by the PO, I've gathered all the parts to put the A/C back together.

I'll post more as I can think of it and I'll get it out for some pictures in the coming days.

Basically this is a solid cruiser that can be enjoyed as is. Everywhere we drive it, people always give us the thumbs-up.

located in Devore, California...about 70 miles from Los Angeles.

Looks nice. Not being a Toyota expert can you tell me more about it? What type and size engine, type of tranny, manual hubs or auto, things like that. etc? Thanks, Jim.

4.2 liter inline 6, 4 speed manual transmission, 2H-4H-4L transfer case, front manual locking hubs. All California smog equipment in place and functional. Old Man Emu springs with greaseable front shackles. Uprated shocks, disc brake front, drum rear, working e-brake, good clutch.
Let me know what else I can tell you.

Cheers,
Simon

Body is really clean and rust free, has the normal dings and dents and the aforementioned repairs around the tailgate, hatch and rear roof line. Frame is solid, only a little surface rust on the exposed metal, no rot.
