I've outgrown my BJ70, which has performed flawlessly over the past couple of years, taking me around the Southwest and through the wilds of Baja. Time to move on to another Cruiser for a build up.

The Good:

Runs and drives great. It's never failed to start, even on cold Northern Arizona mornings at 7000+ ft. altitude. Interior is in good condition, with some minor tears in the driver's seat. Rear Seat is fold/tumble. Front and Rear heaters. Gauges and glow lights all work, with the exception of the fresh/recirculation HVAC lever, and I haven't pulled it to see exactly what is disconnected, so the flap is set to “fresh.”

The 70 runs great on biodiesel, and I usually run B20 during all but the coldest months. I average high teens for mileage in town; slightly more on the highway. Some spares are included, such as OEM air filter, spare alternator, water temp sensor and NAPA fuel filter, as is a printout 3B Engine manual and Australian Repair manual that covers the 3B/70 series. I've recently put a new OEM thermostat and radiator cap on, and it's been a very reliable rig for the last couple of years of my ownership.

The Not so Good:

It's Canadian, so no Air Conditioning.

Slight oil weep from the transfer case, and the rear pinion seal is also weeping (I have a new OEM pinion seal).

Rear quarter panels have some rust. I was going to trim, fiberglass and Rhinoline ‘em, but never got around to it. Large Rear door hinges have some lateral movement, and are due for a rebuild using new pins. The primer pump gave up the ghost on my last fuel filter change, so I have a new Bosch upgrade ready to go in the next time the fuel filter is changed.

My daughter decided to leave a blue and green crayon on the rear seat...so there are now some blue and green melt marks...I was gonna put a set of SOR Seat covers on and be done with it....

* Now....I love horsetrading, so to speak, and there is another ExPo member's ride here that I'm very interested in...thing is, his very classy wife needs a daily driver.

So, if you've got something you might want to trade outside the realm of a 100 Series Cruiser...we may be able to open a three way dialog...:coffeedrink:

Hit me with a PM with questions, etc.

I thought so too...although between SAR gear, work related items, a 4 year old and my usual "must haves" I'm just in need of a bigger Cruiser....

I'm just glad I've had the opportunity to own a 70 series...and drive one through Baja!

Sloan, this vehicle would be perfect for you!

With Specter and TLC so close to you, the 70 will fit right in, and get better gas mileage than your brown cruiser.

The rear seat has side three point shoulder belts with the middle being a lap belt.

I've long drooled over the diesel 70 series vehicles and would love to own one. But wrong side of the country and don't have the funds for it... :(
