Headed to Central America next week. Found a fully reconditioned, low km 1986 Defender 90, with an upgraded interior and wheels / extras from a 1990, and super low km engine from a 2003 mitsubishi TD engine.
looks minty....
Question for all... what is it worth ballpark? Thinking about buying it and driving it home...... looks "loaded" recaro seats, nice interior, and full safari rack.

Not sure US Customs will let you drive it "through" since the truck isn't eligible for import here. Suggest you check before buying tickets.

A "carne de passage" documentation might sort this out. This way you clearly indicate your intention to transit.

impossible to comment w/o pics, and then a wild guess. The Rover guys don't ante up for bastardized trucks -even SBC conversions. Big difference vs. the Toy guys, and why I'm not so sure- ask me how I know though :)
