1986 Land Rover Defender 110 200tdi Station Wagon

abrooks

Observer
1986 110 CSW in Slate Grey. Spent most of its life in Wales, was originally delivered to a sheriff. I'm the third owner. Last owner dropped in a disco 200tdi drive train. Legally imported through Dividing Creek Imports last year, It's got a Virginia Title, all import documentation, etc. I have done very few miles on it at all.

The good:
33'' BFG MTs on deep dish alloys
200tdi with engine cover from 300tdi
Brakes converted to NAS spec (calipers, pads and rotors), new lines
Rear brakes shoes checked and are fine
New, recored custom Radiator
Newer Intercooler
Powder coated radiator surround
Taurus fan with shroud
MUDUK hi/low fan switch, professionally built relay pack for fan
Rebuilt Warn 8274 with synthetic line
Freshly powder coated ARB bumper
Limb risers
Custom built roof rack with rear awning supports
Custom rear ladder
Custom rock sliders
Rebuilt NAS front seats with new foam, black vinyl covers
Recovered rear seats in matching fabric
Exmoor front seat covers
All fluids fresh
Fresh valve cover gasket
Hella horns with relay
Hella 3000s (not wired yet) on bumper
Rear spare tire carrier
Custom storage in rear load area with dog guard
Re-carpeted rear load area (working on carpeting the front
New front speakers (no stereo yet)
MUDUK dash panel with switches and CB
Aluminum dash cowl (safari HP)
2'' lift
Fresh front bearings and seals
Flat grill panel (freshly powdercoated)
Rear seat belts and brackets ready to be installed
Rear work light
Cigarette lighter sockets throughout for accessories

Apologies:
Usual Rover drips and leaks and assorted bumps and bruises (it’s a 25 year old defender, not a PUMA with a fake VIN after all)
Transmission shifter is behind the xfer case, custom center console included (not installed) that will fit behind it
Transmission 2nd gear synchro is cranky, just installed MTL 20 miles ago, may get better as it gets lubed
Transfer linkage needs adjusting
Door frames mediocre
Paint a great color but at least needs to be buffed
Chassis has some surface rust but nothing serious that I've identified
Needs a stereo
Needs exhaust (new rear section included)
Rear windows need new runners
Has a crack in the windshield

Synopsis: known quantity ROW TDI 110, not a rust bucket project truck but not perfect (hence the price) that is here legally. Many expensive mods done to it, needs to be run. Remaining needs are predominantly Saturday afternoon projects that are inexpensive. Reluctantly asking $22,500.
