1986 U1000 Unimog
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the above vehicle will be accepted until 11:00am on January
25, 2012. Bids can be delivered or mailed to the Town of Somers, Town Clerks office, P.O. Box 308, 600
Main Street, Somers, CT 06071.
Bids submitted by Mail should indicate on the outside of the envelope “Sealed Bid Enclosed”. All bids
submitted will be opened in public and read aloud.
This truck is being sold in AS-IS condition.
Description: Truck, Unimog, U1000, 1986, diesel, Mercedes engine, 1 ton capacity, 4x4 with
approximately 45,000 Kilometers on it.
It is reported in fair to good condition and in need of brakes and a new clutch. The diesel engine is
strong and the four-wheel drive works well. The Town of Somers makes no guarantees, does not state
or imply any warranty, and assumes no responsibility for the future operation or maintenance of this
vehicle.
The awarded bidder is responsible for the pick-up and transfer of the vehicle within 48 hours of award
of the bid. Payment terms are cash, bank, or certified check within one day of the award of the bid.

The Town of Somers reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid, which in their
