It is time to sell my completed project build. I understand some thinking my price is high but I have so much more then 10k in this build. In my opinion the truck is worth more. I'm not going to start listed every dollar spent behind every mod below, it just isnt needed. For those who have built a comanche know what things cost.
The truck started as a 1987 4x4 Comanche short bed- The 1999 conversion was done professionally and in whole. Everything is a 1999 cherokee but the bed, cab and frame, including front clip, fenders, hood, doors, complete interior, complete drivetrain (engine, axles, t-case, transmission). It has custom bumpers (front and rear) as well as rock sliders and bushwacker fender flares. The body just went through a professional body shop where it was giving a new color-Silverstone Metallic. The truck bed, front grill, both bumpers, rock sliders and inside the wheel wells where just professionally bedlined as well. This gives these parts a very durable and great look. No corners where cut in making the body of this comanche look flawless. It has a 5" lift and sits on black steel wheels and new 33x12.5 KM2's.
Under the Hood- The Engine is a 4.0L out of a 1999 cherokee and runs very well- 123k miles. Ive had everything looked through and here is what Ive done. Radiator was just flushed, new radiator cap, new upper and lower hose, new thermostate and gasket, new valve cover gasket, motor mounts, and power steering pitman shaft seal. New Banks Torque Tube Header and gasket, and exhaust.
The drivetrain- Diffs and t-case were just serviced. Dana 30 front, new front hub unit bearing assembly, new u joints, JKS trac bar with Rocky Mountain XJ track bar drop bracket. JKS Quicker Disconnects. Good Brakes. New e-brake cable. Rear Axle is a chrysler 8.25- Good Brakes. New E-brake cable, 5" lift, adjustable lower control arms. New Bilstein 5100 shocks. Spidertrax wheel spacers.
Some other unique and fun stuff- Dual Gas Tanks, total of 40 gallons of fuel, the aux tank has a switch and pump to transfer fuel. The tank that fuels the engine is the stock XJ tank in Xj location. The other is a New comanche Tank mounted in its stock location. Easy door removal mod- like a TJ, rear 3rd brake light above slider. Inside cab lights on switch. New style gasket around front wind shield.
The interior is grey from the cherokee, Pioneer cd player and speakers. Garmin GPS.
$9,700 obo
I'm sure I'm missing some things, all parts and work was just completed in last 3 months, maybe 100 miles on them. This has been a 3rd car and a project of mine and now that it is done, my wife and I are in need of some cash to pay for her graduate program. Truck does have a rebuilt title, the 1987 comanche went through an engine fire, but now it is a completely different truck. Again I have so much more then 10k in it and hope it goes to someone who loves comanches as much as I do. The silverstone with black trim looks very classy.
