Well I hate to do it, but I have to sell my Defender 110. So far this is the only one I have seen in AZ and I get thumbs ups and waves whenever I drive it. I bought this in NY and drove it back to AZ, so no worries on reliability. It also cruises at 70mph and gets 25+mpg!! I haven't listed this anywhere else just yet, so if you know anyone who's interested, then please send them my way.

1987 Land Rover Defender 110
Right hand drive
150k mi
300tdi (Swapped from a Discovery)
5-speed trans
Solid transfer case - 4wd is crazy strong
Webasto Thermo Top diesel heater -$1200 addition (Perfect for our -40f winters in AZ?)
3000watt inverter w/usb
"Dog Guard" screen - Custom fitted with clear vinyl
Intake snow guards
Folding steps on all 4 doors
Trailer hitch

The Good:
Doesn't leak, starts every time, no mechanical issues.
Interior is near perfect, rear seats look brand new.
Factory rubber floor (Sounds like nothing special, but believe me they quiet the car down immensely)
Good glass all the way around.
Undercarriage is dry and in great shape.
Swap was done right and runs perfect.
Did you see the tires? My god they are huge, like seriously huge tread.
Extra set of street tires and wheels, drove on them back from NY.
Serious cool factor and solid as a rock.

The Bad:
Some rust and paint bubbling, see pictures.
Temperature sensor and gauge do not match and cause incorrect readings. (Because of swap)
Smells like diesel, not sure if that belongs in the bad category. (Doesn't leak)
Stereo works, but consists of a cheap deck and some 6x9s
Hood latch cable needs to be replaced, still works, but doesnt retract when pulled.
Door locks can be a pain, but usually work. May come with replacement locks.
Sunroof is glued shut, doesn't leak.
Driver side seat bolster showed wear, has since be fixed.
Nothing else.

Hey thanks spd33 for dropping my ad here.

makes that TLC land cruiser seem a bit more worth the asking...really 31K?

I honestly wasn't really sure what to ask for this Defender. I priced it based on ebay ads for Defender 110's actually in the US, of which I am priced competitively. It is also worth noting that this defender does have the 300TDI, which makes it enjoyable to drive at all speeds. The other motors can really be dogs, especially at highway speeds. I guess only time will tell if I am priced well.

D90NAS...

You are quite right, the NAS (North American Specification) models do sell for crazy money, much much more than I am asking.

Here's an idea of what people are asking for them:

What all of these really exspensive NAS models don't have is the 300TDI motor! It's a world of difference and I get amazing gas mileage.

i had an NAS110. i didnt suggest you were out of line, but since you bring it up, a drivetrain rebuild and all new door kits are gonna be big bucks, and im just looking at what youre showing. i dont see a single undercarriage or traditional rust spot shot in any ad.

Just here...
Bone stock D90's sell for crazy $$ still. This is federalized, diesel and quite a looker!

I could be wrong but this is not federalized. It is just brought in under the age rule. Federalized means it would meet emissions and safety requirements, which this would not.

FYI,
he bought it for less than 23k....
New engine or something else for that huge price jump?

And not too long ago either...

It is added value. Now it can be claimed to be a Southern truck and therefore, added money.

Gotta love capitalism (and price gouging...).
