She's solid.

The Good:
- EFI engine, runs great, I adjust valves ~10k miles just to do it, but really on 2 cylinders drift slightly - very solid engine even at 205,000 miles - no leaks to speak of
- Auto Tranny / 4wd are both solid, tranny shifts smooth no worries
- new brakes on all 4's
- Ol Man Emu springs / greasable shackles / ranchero 5000 shocks, real nice set-up
- BF Goody AT's - lots of life
- Dual Exhaust - flows / sounds great
- Clean Interior - everything works (pwr locks, pwr windows, lights etc)
- decent roof rack (holds 5 kayaks)

The details that add character:
- white paint is ok - but from 1988...window tint is the same - ok, but from 1988 ;-)
- minor rust behind wheels, could easily be eliminated with addition of fender flares

The sweeteners':
- older model functional 12V winch with mounts (OME springs are HD and can handle the custom bumper / winch setup I never got around to building)
- 6 way power bucket seats (was going to replace the stock from seats with these, out of a Grand Cherokee)

I'm honest, and won't steer you wrong. only looking to sell cause I'm buying a diesel camper van for my lil kids. this rig has done me right for the last 9 years, and she's solid. I'm asking $5000 - reasonable offers considered.

I will post pics tonight, left em on the stick at home...

cheers.

Tim,

Welcome to Expedition Portal.

We'd like to know more about you, and your rig, as well as your travels and such. Knowing a bit more will give any prospective buyer here a better level of comfort since you are new to the board.

Also, more than likely, this post will get moved to the Vehicle For Sale section, so don't be alarmed when that occurs.

Take care, and once again, welcome.

Hi Gavin -

Thanks, I didn't see where the 'for sale' section is, but figured there is one. Appreciate the help / guidance here.

More about me huh...well, I am very mechanically inclined and have kept up on routine maintenance probably more out of enjoyment than need. Im a mechanical engineer and have traveled all over the world and used landcruisers for work and fun in Costa Rica, India, Arabia and parts of Asia. basically i'm just an all around good guy ;-), and I always have some kind of quality, cold beer on tap...right now its 'Stella'. My rig is very solid, I'm only selling it due to the shifting priorities of my growing family... I'm not much of a blogger, but have surfed this site and other TLC forums in the past. Just trying to sell my rig to someone who values the landcruiser lifestyle as much as I do.

cheers,

- Tim

Where are you at in Colorado? I'm in Co Springs. I'm going up to Denver tomorrow to check out a 90 FJ62, but if that doesn't pan out I'd like to check out yours.

Hi Dave -

Sorry I missed your message over the weekend. I'm up in Fort Collins. Incidentally, next weekend is a great weekend to be here - New west fest - free music (lots of flavors), and local beers (again, lots of flavors)...

let me know if you there is a possibility you'd be interested in heading up over the weekend.

cheers,

- Tim
