Fresh off the boat! Offering up this FJ75 Troopy which just arrived in June from New Zealand, but originally sold in Australia. Been baselining the truck for about 5 weeks and it's a fantastic example. Still a little more work to be done, but will be ready for pickup in a few weeks. The vehicle has officially received an Idaho title and is completely US legal with as much EPA, DoT, and Customs paperwork as you can handle.
Details:
1988 FJ75
-254,000 Km's ~ 157,000 miles
-Carbureted 3F with H55F 5 speed transmission
-Trakka poptop
-Front and rear ARB air lockers with twin compressor
-Dual fuel tanks
-ARB front bumper with fender rails and sliders
-9.5 XP Warn winch
-Kaymar Rear bumper w/ backup camera
-Interior cabinetry
-Dual batteries
Work that will be completed by pickup date:
-New ignition coil and distributor
-New rear driveline
-New fan clutch
-A/C recharge
-New headlights
-New drive belts
-Fluid flush/oil change/filters changed
-Carburetor tune
-New fusible link
-New windshield
-New snorkel
-New rear driver's side slider window
-Nuts, bolts, fasteners, emblems, and bezels replaced as necessary for factory finish
The 3F is an absolute blast to drive and honestly is far more suitable than I thought it would be for a Troopy. Cruises at 70 under 2500 rpm and runs like a top. Has a lot of crossover with the 3F-E in the FJ62 so parts have been relatively easy to come by. The suspension is stiff since it has a heavy duty leaf pack, but it's ready to carry you and all your gear down the Pan-American. Truck has pretty much zero rust on the frame/undercarriage. The body has blemishes and signs of use with 3 areas where rust is present - passenger side rocker panel, passenger's side rain gutter above rear panel window, and driver's side rear quarter panel behind bumper guard. All would eventually need attention, but other than that it looks fantastic. Original paint was white and it has been resprayed in Sandy Taupe. The pop top is not new, but is in great shape with integrated reading lights in four locations and all sleeping platform planks. Comes with 4 bench seats (not sure if they're the original, but they would need to be restored) and extra driver/passenger seats.
Come drive this thing if you're able! Located in Pocatello, Idaho. Can send more pictures and videos at request. Thanks for looking!
