Hi
So it seems that both of my front brakes have seized on to the rotors. Does anyone know the cause of this?
As well i have been looking around for replacement Calipers and am having a heck of a time finding anything for this year.
Does anyone know if newer calipers are compatible?
Thanks

Your flexible rubber brakes lines from the chassis to the front calipers (R&L) may have deteriorated from the inside out causing continuous residual brake pressure to be applied to the calipers/rotors when you remove your foot from the brake pedal. Happens a lot with older vehicles. The hoses may "Look" great from the outside yet be totally bad on the inside.

You also could have stuck pistons in the front calipers that will not release after you remove your foot from the brake pedal causing the calipers to again have residual pressure on the brake calipers/rotors.

Either way given the age of the vehicle I suggest you replace both the front R&L calipers and the rubber brake hoses on each caliper.

Correct rebuilt or new calipers and brake hoses for your 1990 F350 are easily sourced from Rockauto.com or you local Autozone.

I've had good luck with reman'd Raybestos loaded calipers.

The lines are value added, but I'll bet it's just the calipers.
