Well, I've had my Montero for about a year now, but it has a blown motor as of a couple days ago. I really can't afford to fix it up unfortunately, but if anyone wants to purchase it, please let me know. The interior is in fantastic condition, I'll post pictures as soon as I get a chance (it's silver by the way).

I really have no clue, just figured I'd ask in case I was able to justify picking it up. It's a little far away but that's a nice looking first gen that would make a cool project. Damn shame about that motor going on you. I'll follow the thread to see what goes on with it

Hey I'm right there with you as to not knowing exactly what I should ask for it, I figure I'll just try to get some offers for a while. The tires are almost brand new, so I'm hoping that will help. And thanks, it really was a shame, these first gens are beautiful.

Any thought to parting it out? I have a 1991 Monty and would definitely be interested In parts of you go that route, definitely sucks the engine went bad...

Would be a good candidate for a 1UZFE non VVT swap if somebody wants to put a lot of love into this truck. Unfortunately the tires are worth more than the truck. Backwards math - great running LWB Gen 1 = $1500 to $2000 (maybe $2500 really high end) subtract replacement car-part Montero 3.0l engine $1100 paid swap labor $1500 .... see where we are going here... Part it out and move on.
