1991 Suburban lift and tire suggestions

I'm looking at lift and tire options for my Suburban and am having trouble making up my mind. It's a '91 6.2 diesel that will be running a Banks turbo kit. It has a 14 bolt rear axle and 10 bolt front that were swapped in from a 3/4 ton pickup. Eventually I plan to swap to a Dana 60. Right now the truck has 4.10 gears and a 700R4 trans.

I really like the idea of the custom front and rear springs offered by ORD. Lots of flex and a decent ride on the highway. I'm trying to decide if 6" to 8" lift and 37" tires might be too much? I like the ground clearance of the 37" tire but don't want the truck too top heavy. Would a 4" or 5" lift and a 35" tire be a bit more practical option? I know with a 37" tire I would probably need to regear to 4.56. I'm just trying to find the sweet spot of ground clearance and capability off road without totally ruining the truck for street driving. Thanks, and please feel free to post up pictures of your truck if you've got 'em.

Here a couple shots of my 1991. Has 8 lug swap via military axles. I did an all spring 6 inch lift and 35s seemed a bit small. Has these old military 36s on it now, but plan to go 37s or cut some and run 40s.

also... truck feels solid. Not top heavy or anything. I have a 350 TBI and 4.10s, but know if i go 40s it will need lower cogs in it. For 37's I would likely try the 4.10s for awhile and then decide. With your better torque, you may be just fine with 4.10s.

IF/when I go to one tons under my 90 suburban, my lift plans are 52" springs up front, shackle flip in the rear, 37" tires, and trim the fenders. this usually nets you 4-5 inches of lift and will flex and ride well. running the 52" springs in front requires moving mounting brackets and highly suggested cross over steering.
