I saw this on CL today. A lot of miles on the clock. Seller seems like a stand-up guy from the way the listing is written. I wonder if this would be a good starter vehicle for someone like me who is just getting into off road adventuring and primitive camping with my 2 young kids. I have a completely stock, pristine 1992 Ford Explorer that my family bought new and now has 150k on the clock. I just figure it's way cheaper to buy an already modified vehicle than to build one myself, and money is not something I have a lot of.

Selling our trusty 1991 Land Cruiser. We have had many adventures in this vehicle. It has been all over the US on many trips. Built up to be our family camping rig. Only selling because we have 3 Land Cruisers and a new Tacoma and this truck just does not get used. It has some dents and scratches on the outside, and some wear and tear on the inside, but mechanically it has been maintained to a high standard. This truly is a rig I would jump in tomorrow and drive to Alaska with. It has the coldest AC and best heat of any vehicle I have ever had.

In the last 10K miles the following has been done:

radiator, thermostat, belts, new starter(not rebuilt), fuel pump, fuel pump relay rewired, dual battery set up with 1 3month old Interstate HD battery and 1 2 year old Optima Red Top battery, rear cargo outlet wired in to run the refrigerator, windows re-tinted. New EGR valve and EGR modulator. I replaced the big mass airflow hose also. I am happy to smog it when a deal is reached.

Front end was rebuilt about 5 years ago, no seeping currently.

It has the following upgrades:
Baja Rack flat roof rack for a roof top tent, $825
Old Man Emu 2.5" lift, $1000
Custom front bumper, $500
4X4 Labs dual swing out rear bumper with tire carrier and custom wide ladder, $2200
5 BFG 35" All Terrain tires(they are all in great shape with plenty of tread left) $1000
5 powder coated black rims $500
2 Warfield rear cargo drawers $500
2 Mudrak Custom Cruisers DOM rock sliders, $750
Alpine stereo and 4 speakers pro install, $1200
Plus the cost of all the recent maintenance parts and labor, Cha-Ching$$$... seems like a bargain at $5900!

Being 23 years old, and actually driven off road and not just to the mall and soccer practices, it has a couple of minor issues. Nothing that effects reliability of the rig. It has a tear in the driver's seat from sliding out of it, tear in the headliner from hauling 10' lengths of steel inside, which has left some minor scratches on the already cracked dash(maybe time for a dash cap?). The only real large dent is in the driver's side rocker panel under the second door(look in the photos). It could use new door light switches, or they need cleaning(I put new LED bulbs in today). Needs hood struts if you don't like using the supplied piece of wood that I use to prop open the hood with. It does NOT burn any oil, and only marks it's turf if you leave it in 1 spot for weeks at a time.

The truck is stored in a warehouse in Sonoma which is conveniently located next door to Mudrak's Custom Cruiser. Gary has worked on the truck during my 10 years of ownership. I only replaced parts with genuine Toyota parts, no aftermarket BS installed. I am free most mornings to show the vehicle, and I work most weekends starting in the late afternoon. If you want to come check out the Landcruiser send me an email and I'm sure we can work something out.
