Hi Guys,
I've decided to sell my @Twin as we have a 4 month old son and I would like to travel with the family. The bike is located in Gent Belgium and are happy to help a overseas buyer anyway I can. I have a workshop and tools or storage if needed, can help with export / temp plates - can help with international shipping from ZEE BRUGGE BE or Rotterdam NL
I understand this will only happen when the world returns to some normality. Belgium is the ideal starting point for Africa
RD04 chassis number RD042100687
May 1992 and Ive owned it from Aug 2006 - Its 3owners, the first till July 2005
85695 KMS just had a full front and back brake overhaul including rear disc which cost €750 - also had a oil / filter change.
Modifications made to the Africa twin and a small description why, please remember it was last modified from road overland touring to rider only off road touring in Morocco (SCRAM) which didnt happen as I fell seriously ill. The bike is raised and modified as per the @Twin Marathon I owned in the past.
Tyres: two sets – currently fitted with Continental KTC 80s 200kms traveled. Set of Michelin included
Givi taller screen
LED light ring & LED rear light
Light lens cover
Mesh Radiator guards
Acerbis Handguards
Small 12v socket
Microlight charge light, the @T has one common fault, the rectifier over charges or undercharges and damages the battery . This was the only breakdown I had on the bike coming back from Le Mans once. After lots of research seems to be due to a build up of heat, so I mounted the rectifier on a aluminum plate and fitted a PC cooling fan, plus its own earth wire to the bike frame. I also made additional holes in the side panel. In addition I fitted a microlight charge light so you can see if the power is too little, OK or too much. In addition there is a spare rectifier fitted under the seat. No problems experienced driving to Jordan and back ! so I guess it works ??
Raised handle bars
Aluminum Extended front forks 7cm with air valve, forks are fitted with Ohlins heavier front springs – reduces dive when two Up..
Touratech tank bag with side pockets
Africaqueens Rear Shock with Ohlins HD 140N/mm spring for overland / two up travelling. Never bottomed out even fully loaded off road.
Africaqueens Strut Defection Arm with lift kit
Africaqueens Arrow sports exhaust (less than 200kms)
Center stand
Extended side stand
Africaqueens front crash bars
Custom Machined lower off road foot pegs
All Stainless brake hoses
Grab handles, ideal for securing items on the back seat
