1993 RRC LWB T-Case swap LT230

I am looking at replacing my Borg Warner with a LT230 soon. Other than the linkage, are there any gotchas I should look out for?

My primary concern is if I can use the existing drive lines or if they have to be extended or shortend. I am hoping the mounts will be the same.

This has been gone over pretty well at both Discoweb and Pirate. Mainly me posting my experiences twice...

Go there and do a search. You'll get a lot to read and find out things that can go wrong. You'll need some extra parts, mod the front DL, adjust linkage, etc...

It's not beyond the realm of mere mortals...if I can do it, *anyone* can do it.

Nope, went to Vegas to run my 'experiment' for 2 years. Experiment failed, then we move to SLC.

I heard about your tdi LWB Must be sweet! I had a 'benz engine I was thinking about swapping into mine for a while.

OK, that rings a bell. Sorry to hear the experiment didn't work out but at least you had the brass to give it a go! Hat's off!

The LWB is coming along great. Although the Tcase is getting done sooner than I thought. The BW imploded quicker than I expected. Time to go read your notes.

Todd - you should also check with Cameron (cambo) on LRR. He just did the swap and I am about too... got all the parts sitting here waiting for me to have some time...
