In the back section of the truck there are two full size locking ARB Draws and one ARB Slider Tray that features storage underneath for tools and long items. The top of the slider is perfect for coolers, fridge/freezer (12V marine socket is in back wall near slider) or as a handy table when you stop for a break. A Wagon Gear Tailgate Storage Box has been installed and does feature a lock, additionally both rear side sliding windows have been replaced with Wagon Gear Fold Up Series 70 style glass making convenient access to the back when the tailgate is secured, these windows also lock. Suspension is OME for heavy duty transportation trucks and also has a steering stabilizer. All 6 tires on the Cruiser are currently Cooper Discovery S/T Maxx, LT255/85R16 on the highest load bearing rated Mickey Thompson 16” rims available. These tires are all rotated regularly (all 6) and are still quite new with plenty of rubber. Internal load security points are positioned throughout the rear compartment of the truck including Mac’s Custom Tie Down VersaTrac system with several single stud tie down ring attachments. The driver’s seat is a Mastercraft Baja RS and will accept a safety harness (not included). Trailer

This fully suspended, air bag levelled off road trailer started out as an Adventure Trailer’s “Horizon” model in 2012. The frame, design and side boxes along with the nose box all were very sound and functional. The layout for the back access door was not and all weather stripping was found to be inadequate at preventing water penetration. The trailer was therefore modified with a 1000 pound capable custom sliding tray with two position lock fitted into the entire back compartment and the door was changed to be side opening. Industrial grade weather stripping was added to all seals on all doors, LED lighting installed in both side boxes and main compartment. All doors on this trailer can be locked.

Additional modifications include a custom fabricated roof rack that has locking storage underneath it. The top of the rack has an Eezi Awn Type III Roof Top Safari Tent with extension ladder. The height of the trailer combined with the rack allows most people to walk under the tent without having to bend down. An additional room made of hanging fabric panels around the extension ladder is supplied with the tent and is a good place to keep dogs or equipment out of the weather. This tent is lightweight coated canvas and extremely durable. Inside the tent is wall storage, a fabricated LED light solution and a custom 2 piece yacht mattress secured in a cover for extremely comfortable night’s sleep as well as plenty of ventilation. The underside of the rack is a very convenient place for bedding and is sized to fit standard hard storage cases supplied by Pelican or Storm.

The trailer features its own integrated power system in the form of two deep cycle Odyssey PC 1800 RV Battery’s that are marine grade, a trickle charge system and inverter along with a volt indicator. This system can power internal/external lights on the trailer along with the integrated ARB Compressor and the 82 quart ARB Fridge Freezer located in the main compartment. External 12V marine sockets and 110V sockets for use with the inverter are located near the front of the trailer. Both batteries were replaced brand new in June 2019 and have plenty of charge volume left on them. A 7 plug socket cord for the trailer also allows charging from the truck’s electric system when travelling. An auto-retractable reel mounted on the trailer has a 50’ extension cord in it that allows charging from a small generator or 110-120V AC socket when available. Next to this reel is asecond auto-retractable reel with 25’ of air hose terminating in an integrated ARB air compressor with reserve tank that can power impact drivers, inflate tires etc..

The trailer features independent suspension that is airbag leveled for camping on uneven ground or for adjusting ride to minimize sway in rough terrain. Drainage has been installed in critical areas should the trailer get immersed. Two Toyo M55 LT 225/16R tires on the same Mickey Thompson rims used on the truck support the trailer for great clearance off road. An articulating multi access coupler with an anti-theft interface supports towing and is rated for 6,000 pds. The trailer has an electric brake axle upgrade and is adjustable through a controller in the cab of the truck. Four crank down stabilizer feet have been installed on each corner of the trailer all professionally welded and all steel design. Key areas in the under frame of the trailer have been reinforced for protection.

Exterior flat surfaces of the trailer have been coated with Line-X and are capable of being stood on to support loading, unloading and inspection of stored equipment. Multiple Mac’s Custom Tie Down Versa Trac System rails are installed with stainless steel fasteners over the exterior of the trailer. Extra with the trailer are 4 external scepter (Jerry) can mounts and hardware currently uninstalled and also a self-contained portable 12V gasoline pumping system for taking fuel out of the cans (cans not included).

The trailer has been custom painted to match the truck with the Line-X areas staying black. All travel lights function 100%. This trailer and tent are remarkably comfortable for remote camping and travel to unsupported places.

Known Problems:

• Ongoing surface rust prevention is required & has been constantly performed, particularly the upper side (exposed) of the frame, trailer is kept under a roof (Pole Barn)
• Airbag inflate/deflate has a slow leak somewhere in the system that has to be chased down, will not affect anything under 18-24 hours but after that will need more air
• Fly wheel was replaced with an industrial rubber coated caster, extremely tough but can be harder to move on uneven terrain, may want to look at a never flat knobby style
