PRICE DROP $7,500 obo :Wow1:

I'm reluctantly selling my 1995 Jeep Wrangler... But my loss can be your gain! It has a 2002 5.3 liter Chevy Vortec V8 from a Chevy Avalanche, a 4L60E auto overdrive tranny from a 2002 Suburban, onboard air system (currently not working--I think the A/C compressor needs to be replaced--it makes a racket when I turn the onboard air system on) w/ air tank--all installed by Appalachian Offroad in Westminster, MD. Many other mods--5" lift, 35" BF Goodrich AT KO tires (5 including spare), soft top, hard top, 2 sets of doors (both sets keyed to the same key), Tabor winch, air horns, etc. It needs a little love (like the onboard air system mentioned above), and has a little bit of rust (not much), but all in all is a pretty darn cool vehicle. The rear axle is a 8.8 w/ disk brakes from a Ford Explorer. The front axle has been upgraded a bit--solid axles halves--that little air actuated coupler thing has been removed. The gears are 4.88--Also done by Appalachian Offroad. There is a lot more stuff that goes along w/ the vehicle, such as bikini top, safari bikini top, high lift jack, alarm system, etc. This things runs really strong and has never really been beat on. Engine only has about 40K miles or so on it--maybe as low as 35K, but I have to check on that. I probably only put a couple thousand miles on it since the engine swap, and it was pretty low miles when it was swapped in. While it runs strong, I did have the battery die on me twice--I keep it on a trickle charger since I don't drive it much. Then it starts up fine, but if I leave it for a month or so, the battery gets drained. Call me on my cell at 301-524-0463 or email me at dr.gilbart@comcast.net if you're interested.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Gilbart

Here's a few pics I just took today of my Jeep in Winter mode and some older pics of my Jeep ready for Summer:

I'll take more pics after work today and post tonight. There is some rust on the front fenders--I was going to replace them w/ tube fenders, so this never bothered me. The other area is on the back near the bottom right side of the tailgate. I also have new metal corner guards from GenRight that I still have boxed up and brand new--never got around to installing those either! They are NOT the comp cut ones--they are one step "less extreme" than those. Anyhow, more detailed pictures to come later of what you suggested... One more thing I just noticed in the pics above--I no longer have the sidesteps that are pictured in the "Soft Top" pics. The pics of the Jeep in "Hard Top" trim are the sidesteps that are currently installed, and come w/ the Jeep. Thanks for looking. -Jonathan

More pics of my 1995 Jeep Wrangler that is for sale in Middletown, MD: $8,500 obo

More pics of my 1995 Jeep Wrangler that is for sale in Middletown, MD: $8,500 obo. A couple notes about the horns--the aftermarket electric horn works intermittently (notorious problem w/ Jeeps). The air horns worked GREAT (VERY LOUD) when the compressor was working properly. They air horns should be fine once the compressor issue is dealt with. See detail of the area on the left front fender that has the worse rust (by far). The other area of rust is on the right, rear near the tailgate. The rust on the rear bumper appears to be surface rust only. I was going to remove the rear bumper and repaint or powdercoat it, but once again, never got around to it! There is some surface rust on the underside of the vehicle, but it seems more cosmetic than anything. The original doors (1/2 doors w/ soft uppers) have no rust at all, but I have a 2nd pair of doors that I use in the winter (full doors w/ windows). The full doors have some rust, but once again, the doors that are original to the vehicle (1/2 doors) are in great shape w/ no rust. Hope this helps!
