The truck is currently setup for transporting dogs, with a platform installed in place of the rear seats and steel grilles on the rear windows and between the front seats. These items can easily be removed and the rear seats reinstalled.

This truck is not a mall crawler, while it has been used off-road, it has not been abused and is in good working condition with the following exceptions: Electric mirrors need a wire splice, Sunroof operates but is off the track, tie rod end boots are split. Headliner is not hanging down but needs replacement, small stone chip in the windshield. Age appropriate minor oil leaks.

Spare items included: Alternator, vacuum pump, factory workshop manuals, water pump, timing belt, fan belt, viscous coupling, auto trans shifter cable, transfer box shift lever, special tools, assorted other spares.

Five-gallon fuel can is not included in the sale.

I will deliver within the greater Los Angeles area.

That is excellent. Wish I was in the market right now, I really like the RRC. GL with the sale.

Thanks for the good thoughts Chuck.
I put a lot of time and effort into this truck to make it reliable for remote travel and at the same time keep it's on-road manners. I really don't want to part with it, but times change and I need something bigger. I've decided to get a full size van and convert to 4x4 for my next vehicle.

Regards,
Andy

The 300TDI engine was used by Land Rover in several different vehicles. While you won't win any drag races with it, it does have many advantages, especially for off-road driving. It needs one electrical wire to run. It produces maximum torque at 1800RPM as opposed to 3200 for the V8. It can idle for long periods without overheating and uses almost no fuel while doing so. Range per tank of fuel is much greater, and of course, you get that cool diesel clatter sound.

Thanks..... I forgot about Land Rover using TDI in their diesel engines. All I could think of was VW for some reason.

OK, I've got to ask and I don't mean to hijack your sale thread. I've got a mint condition '91 Rangie SWB that I've set up for expeditions. Where can I get a TDI and what was involved in the switch?

With a little tuning, the tdi's will flat out get down the road... Just sayin.
