1995 Range Rover County Classic LWB, 151000 miles
We are a Range Rover family. My son purchased this vehicle, as the third owner, from a private sale in the NYC area. He added body protection and attended a few off-road events, but mostly used the vehicle for commuting in Long Island and Louisiana during his years of ownership. Last year he purchased a more economical vehicle to commute with and, since the vehicle was in such good shape, I purchased it from him. My cup now “runneth over” with vehicles and sadly I must let this one go.
This Classic is in solid condition mechanically and body/frame. No rot. Some minor surface rust is beginning to appear on frame and gear, but again this is a solid vehicle with no rust wastage.
All maintenance has been performed by owner.
Problems:
-Stereo speakers bad, previous owner installed Alpine head and amp without upgrading speakers and blew them all. Sound still OK at low level but rattling/clipping evident at high volume.
-Headliner failing but pinned up
-Drivers side rear window regulator needs repair. Window “hooked” into closed position.
-Driver’s door convenience lock function does not work. Door buttons must be pushed down from inside. Driver’s door locks with key.
-Cruise control does not work. Have troubleshot and believe it may be bad control module.
-Body exhibits dents and scratches from various expeditions, hood and roof clear coat is fading from sun.
-Factory brush bar coating is failing and factory rear brush guards and rear bumper trim pieces are missing.
-Driver’s seat seams failing and console wood trim is cracking (typical).

Good stuff:
-2 inch lift coil springs (no air bags)
-Ice cold A/C
-Basket Style half Roof Rack
-Snorkel
-Front and Rear Diff Guards
-Front Skid Plate
-Fuel tank skid plate
-Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs 225/75/16, 10% tread ware.
-Front bearings rebuilt
-Viscous coupling renewed
-Floor pan insulation and carpet removed and pan area Rhino Lined, rubber floor mats in place. (we lost a Classic from internal floor pan rot) Lesson learned.
-Gold top injectors, Magnecore wires, ignition module relocation kit installed
-Fuel pump renewed in 2013.
- I have lots of parts to go with it, including a spare alternator.
-Starts, runs, rolls nice. Tight at highway speed with no wobble or wander.

Anyone who knows these vehicles would be very pleased with its condition for the price.
