No affiliation. This slide-in camper is way cool inside. All wood curved ceiling and nice wood cabinets. I think it's a very nice step up from the mid 1960's Alaskan Campers interiors, which are cool in themselves. This camper is truly like an old Adirondack summer cabin inside.
Price seems a bit high, though. I found another 1968 Travel Queen for $2,000 in Arizona. Just as nice shape inside (as much as pics can show) but about a foot shorter. These OBS Ford diesels do go for decent money on BAT, though ($20k-$35k, sometimes more), so maybe the price is about right. What say you?
Can the experienced truck campers chime in here; is this overhang too much for getting more into the back country, rather than less into the back country?
1968 truck camper
cylinders: 8 cylinders
drive: 4wd
fuel: diesel
paint color: white
rv type: truck camper
title status: clean
transmission: automatic
This rig will do it all. It's wide and spacious compared to the van conversions.
Designed to be comfortable and functional in all seasons. The extended truck
cab holds lots of sports equipment like skis, boards, backpacks. It even fits
a medium-size dog crate. It's smooth riding and powerful on winding mountain
roads, especially dirt. Could easily tow a toy or utility trailer or the like. It gets
compliments everywhere!
The price is based on the value of the truck plus the cost of the vintage camper and the restoration.
PRICE IS FIRM and the TRUCK IS NOT FOR SALE SEPARATELY. Thank you.
