This is a very capable trail ready Discovery. I have owned this car for the last 9 years and have always maintained it beyond Land Rover's recommendations. This is a rare discovery in the fact that it is an SD with the R380 5 speed manual. All service is up to date and the vehicle needs nothing, the car has approx. 170,000 miles on it. Service highlights are: new clutch in 2010 at about 150,000 miles, new head gaskets at 100,000 in 2007, complete front and rear axle rebuild in 2007 including swivel ball seals.
I have over $15,000 invested in this vehicle to make it one of the most capable Rovers around.
The list of modifications is below.
3" Rovertym heavy duty springs
Rovertym front and rear trailing arms (caster corrected in front)
Rockware Defender steering linkage and stabilizer relocation.
Front and Rear ARB Locking Differentials
Onboard air compressor
Custom valved Bilstein 7100 series remote reservoir shock absorbers.
Front and rear dislocation cones for springs
4:70 ratio gears
Custom heavy duty drive shafts by Tom Woods
Custom bumpers and rock sliders by Tread Industries, include a provision for a winch in front . Rear tire swing away.
Wired for auxiliary lights on roof and bumper
Original Rover sound system works as it should including the CD changer.
Interior has been mostly converted from SD to LSE with the acceptation of the front cloth seats. (I wanted to retain the non-power front seats)
Carpets removed and floors were coated with bead-liner material. (easy to wash out)
Wheels are a rare gunmetal style from a special edition Range Rover.
Tires are now 265/70/16, about a 31" and have about 1/3 tread life left. This Rover will fit a 33" 285/75/16 which is the best size tire for the vehicle.
There is a CB radio installed and it is prewired for a Garmin GPS.

Do you know if the leather front seats can be taken off their power system, and mounted to the cloth seat brackets?

This vehicle is basically what I'm after. Wish you were local so I could look it over in person.

Do you think 255/85 's would fit?

How is noise not having carpet?

Great build... moving on to something else?

Thanks!!
