1996 Land Rover Discovery - Seattle Area

All,

The time has come to put my Disco up for sale. I have had her for 2-1/2 years with the intention of building her up to a competent overland platform. And I did. However, I had a deal come across my path that involved purchasing a white Discovery, which is just about complete.

So, the green Disco' needs a new home. Here are some highlights:

New (in the past year):

*Fuel Pump
*Water Pump
*Cooling Hoses
*Coolant Expansion Tank
*Steering Hoses
*Transmission Oil Cooler Lines
*Engine Oil Cooler Lines
*Ignition Wires
*Spark Plugs
*Front Brake Rotors
*Front Brake Pads
*Front Wheel Bearings
*Front Hub Seals
*Headliner in Black
*5 New BF Goodrich KM2's 235-8516 Mud Terrain Tires
*5 New Wolf/NATO Steel Rims
*Discovery 2, Cup Holders
*Rebuilt and Resealed Sun Roofs
*Exmoor Waterproof Front Seat Covers

The mileage on the truck is 174K. The top end was overhauled right before I bought it in Feb 2012. The compression is really good in all cylinders. Factory is roughly 180psi, she is running on average 170psi.

With all the new items, she really is ready to accessorize and hit the trails. The driveline is all stock Land Rover. No heavy duty anything installed. There are a few small leaks on from the rear seal and a slow transmission pan seep.

Tires are at 3/4 tread left.

What does it need, you ask? Well, short of the fuel injectors needing flow tested and cleaned, not much. The rear door panel was shot, so I removed it. It is ready for a metal panel to build your camp kitchen on.

Needs a read door lock actuator. I am trying to source a used one to replace the bad one.

The vehicle does have a suspension lift on it, roughly 1-1/2 inches. The 235-85-16 tires are the perfect size for the truck. Runs quite good down the highway.

I am asking $4000.00 for her or best reasonable offer. I know this truck inside and out and will help with any modifications you want to add.

Please PM or e-mail me with any questions or if you are interested in coming to see it.

Dan,
You must have something pretty cool in the works to get rid of this guy! Nice truck, hopefully will land in some nice hands.

Larry? You are alive! :wings:

Yes, we will be doing the official unveiling this weekend. Can't wait! I have been working on this thing since August of last year.
Ready to drive it!
