1997 Land Rover Discovery RoverTym Bumper & Lift

FOR SALE: 1997 Land Rover Discovery SD, 4.0 v8 engine, full time 4x4, automatic transmission, a/c, black with tan leather interior, power everything, 2 power sun roofs, professionally installed aftermarket CD player/stereo in stock dash location with CD changer under passenger's seat.

Rover has new valves, valve gaskets, head gaskets, alternator, battery, radiator hoses, belt, brakes, 130,000 miles, does not burn or leak oil, previous owner & myself have run synthetic oil.

Rovertym full front brush guard with 2 Hella off road lights, tray, hole & bolt pattern for Warn winch. 3" Old man Emu suspension lift, 2" RoverTym body lift, RoverTyme trailing arms, Heavy Duty Steering components, 33/12.5x15 Dunlop Mud Rovers on black steel rims with offset, with plenty of tread left & full sized Dunlop Mud Rover spare on matching rim (all 5 tires & rims are identical).

Paint and interior are not new & do show wear as expected for a Rover this age, no tears in seats. All gauges & electronics work as they should, all windows operate as they should, no cracks etc in any glass.

Inspection sticker good through 6/11

Known Problems: one of the Hellas has a burnt out bulb - am researching to find replacement. ABS light is on but vehicle brakes as it should.

This Rover is exceptionally capable & comfortable off road. I am selling due to expanding family & need to fund a daily driver with more seating.

Thanks! I've had several interested so far, mostly with interesting trade offers.

I very am open to partial or whole trades.

For those thinking of trades, what I really need is an 8-9 seater for expanding family, & the only other trades I am looking for are an older Diesel tractor with front end loader for use on the farm, or a John Deere Gator 4x6 in decent shape, again for use on the farm :coffeedrink:

Prior to my ownership, the Disco was owned by a fellow in CA who managed a Peterbuilt dealership. He always had the shop mechanics there service it, & used synthetic oils etc in the service of the truck & regularly changed oils/filters every 5000 miles. Since I have owned it, I have continued this practice & used Rotella 5w-40, high quality Amalie Blue Hi-Temp Grease, and Hastings filters.

It has some paint fading on top & a small crack in the corner of the rear drivers side door where the fender flare edge meets the door material, nothing that could not be patched up.

Gas mileage averages 14-16 mpg in the country, a bit less in the city.
